Growing up, my immigrant parents always wanted me to become an engineer.
These gentle suggestions were powerful and convincing, but ultimately resulted in my pursuing a creative route after college.
I focused my efforts on illustration, graphic and web design, creating logos, brochures, posters, stickers and merch, as well as developing many websites.
Over the years, I came to enjoy the challenges of web development, thinking of the process like putting together a puzzle with some creativity.
Fast forward to today, and I now find myself taking the engineering route my parents always encouraged, and enjoying it!
I’ve enrolled in a Full Stack Web Development bootcamp, and am working on projects involving html, css, javascript, node.js, mongoDB, API’s, Express, React and test driven development, using Jest.
When I’m not developing, drawing or designing, I spend time with my wife, two children, and cat. I enjoy my fair share of podcasts, modern and old school hip hop, the now sadly categorized–“classic” rock, as well as fanatically watching the Golden State Warriors as they continue to ascend the pantheon of NBA Legend.
